Your local electronics store has just started selling time machines, anywhere doors, and invisibility helmets. You can only afford one. Which of these do you buy, and why?
One of the movies I remember from my childhood is Monster’s Inc. In that movie the monsters go everywhere by coming through closet doors to scare children. I never wanted to be the one scared but I really liked the concept that those monsters could enter a place far away from them, states, countries away but just one door.
I like the idea of not having to get in the car to drive or anything, just stating my destination and simply going through a door to get there. I would never have to deal with traffic and I would never be late for work.
These doors are called ‘anywhere doors’ so I take that as it doesn’t matter where I wish to go and that I could use it as a time machine, also. I would go places here, and there, everywhere. I would go in the past, and to the future.

I was not sure that the ‘anywhere doors’ did the space-time-thing… .so I went with the time machine….
